Winter birding around Artemis Lagoon, Athens

Birdwatching during winter time can be as exciting. While waiting for spring migration, we decided to take our time and photograph some coastal birds. So we headed east of Athens, to the beach close to Artemis lagoon. There we found Kentish Plovers and Grey Plovers feeding between the sallow rocky seaside. It was a good opportunity to get some close up pics, of these two small waders.
