June is still a good month for birding, even though the temperature can rise up to 30 C. A half day trip around Athens can yield a good number of species, including most of the area's specialties. For example, the
Rock Sparrows are still breeding and can be seen in suitable nest habitat.
Rufous Bush Robins, the latest of the spring arrivals, are still singing in the farmland while even the majority of warblers and buntings are still active.

To complete the trip with some seabirds, the ferry from Ag.Marina port, close to Schinias National Park, to Nea Styra is the best means to have really good views of
Scopoli's Shearwaters, as they readily follow the boat, along with the hundreds of
Yellow-legged Gulls.
