The "king" of Schinias has returned (once again)...

The Greater Spotted Eagle that overwinters in Schinias National Park made its appearance for the 9th consecutive year! This magnificent raptor is one of the area's attraction in winter, along with Ferruginous Ducks, Moustached Warblers, etc. Let's hope that this year will also bring other interesting species like the Greater Grey Shrike, the Red-crested Pochard and the Pygmy Cormorant!

Ferruginous Ducks are very common in winter, mainly in the rowing center

Greater Spotted Eagle is always an impressive figure, even when backlited

Mediterranean Gulls are also frequent at the rowing center
