Another successfull Euro Birdwatch event was held at Vravrona wetland. Hundreds of people visited the photo exhibition and were guided through this small but very important habitat of east Attica. The highlight of the event was the release of a Honey Buzzard and a Red Kite, among others, that were rehabilitated in ANIMA Wildlife Hospital, after being found injured by environmentally aware people. Both birds seemed to have fully recovered from their injuries and gained height very quickly before they vanish in the skies....Other birds released were two Buzzards, two Little Bitterns and a Little Stint.
We wish them all the best!
