Bearded Tits are one the most beautiful, yet not very easy to see, birds. Their preferred habitat (extensive reedbeds) are usually not accessible and one has to wait in their fringes to get a glance. However, Lamia reedbed in Strofylia wetland (close to the city of Patra in western Peloponnese) is perhaps the best place for close encounters, especially in fall when flocks of as many as 100 birds can be seen.
