The bird is still there, and although it's always on the run, hunting flies and other insects, it can be approached quite closely. After avoiding a hungry Peregrine, it remained calm, checking only when a large jet plane was approaching the area for landing. Nobody knows what will be the fate of this misguided traveller, so let's all wish it the best!
