Before the construction of the new airport of Athens there were very few (if any) records of Dotterels in Attica. Nowadays, though, it seems to be a fairly regular passage migrant, seen every autumn. Birds are seen usually in small groups of 2-3 birds. It looks like the airport is not always a bad thing for birds!
