Spanish Sparrows are common summer visitors in North and Central Greece. In Athens, however, sightings are rather few. This spring, small flocks have been seen in Vravrona and the cultivated areas near the airport. There is a chance that they will actually stay to breed as they were seen in very suitable habitat.
