A flock of c.1000 Coots was actually driven by a lone Yellow-legged Gull in Lake Paralimni, 100 kms north of Athens. They were very aware of the opportunistic gull who may easily prey on injured or sick birds. Lake Paralimni hosted more than 3.000 Coots along with hundreds of ducks, grebes and cormorants.
