Wood Sandpipers are among the earliest fall migrants. The first birds are seen as early as late June, and this flock of c.30 birds was resting in Aigio Lagoon, a small but very important brackish wetland in northern Peloponesse. Other birds seen include three
Mediterannean Gulls,
Black-winged Stilts,
Common and
Little Terns as well as
Kentish Plovers.
