A short afternoon birdwatching visit to Mt Hymmetus brought a very unexpected sighting. A juvenile Imperial Eagle flying southwards very close to the ground! The bird was seen for a couple of minutes, flying effortlessly, gaining height and then vanishing in the blue sky.....First record of this species in Hymmetus!
