Black-necked Grebes Podiceps nigricollis - Μαυροβουτηχτάρι, are almost exclusively seen during the winter months, although very few pairs breed irregularly in a handful of wetlands. They are most frequently recorded in coastal areas, compared to Little Grebes that are usually seen in brackish or fresh water.
