Sandwich Tern, is the only regular wintering tern in Greece. Singles or small groups can be seen in almost every coastal area. However, they're rarely seen flying in flocks like most gull species. This long-distance photo taken in Perama Megaron, a small harbour in a shallow gulf of Western Attica, shows 46 (or at least most of them) Sandwich Terns flying around.
