Whinchats are one the most common autumn migrants seen in Greece every year. Along with Willow Warblers and Red-backed Shrikes, are perhaps the species seen most frequently in open areas. Very few pairs actually nest in Greece, confined to the northern part. Easy to approach, they're one of the photographers' favorite subjects.
