There are few places in Greece where so many woodpecker species can be seen together. A total of six different species are present, including the rare Grey Woodpecker (Picus canus) - Σταχτής Δρυοκολάπτης and the tiny Lesser Spotted Woodpecker (Dendrocopos minor) - Νάνος Δρυοκολάπτης, which is very common but not so easy to track due to its sparrow size.
Trying to get a shot of this constantly on the move midget woodpecker is a very hard task, especially when the humidity is very high and there's not enough light....
