During the last weeks I managed to see some of the most wanted bird species, those that birders are looking for when they visit Greece.
One of them is Rufous-bush Robin (Cercotrichas galactotes) - Κουφαηδόνι, a species that one can find around Athens, in Vravrona and Markopoulo area. These birds were in Mesolongi Lagoons, where they breed during the summer

Another interesting species is Gull-billed Tern (Sterna nilotica), found in Oropos area, close to Athens
Finally, Short-toed Lark (Calandrella brachydactyla) - Μικρογαλιάντρα is another species in most birders wish list. You can find it is Spata area and also in Oropos estuary
Apart from that, I got the 44th species in my Garden Bird List, an awesome a couple of Eastern Olivaceous Warblers (Hippolais pallida) - Ωχροστριτσίδα are breeding in the olive trees above our garden!
