Athens 5th Race took place on Saturday 17th. First team got 103 species, an overall 150 species seen from all teams combined. I went out with my son for a couple of hours and got 60 species, including some hard to get species (especially the rail and the raptor are hard to photograph), such as
Spotted Crake,
Spanish Sparrow and
Hobby.
Every two years I see a
Hobby in Schinias, a hard-to-see bird, especially around Athens.
