A week ago I went again to the Evrotas Delta in Lakonia, which is a very interesting place for birding. In one of the villages nearby I saw a Tawny Owl very early in the morning, while at the coastal wetlands (or what is left of them) there were among others Ferruginous Duck, Purple Herons, Night Herons, Squacco Herons, Spanish Sparrows, Sedge Warblers, Reed Warblers, and many Zitting Cisitcola. When walking towards a group of high Oak Trees - being still more than a hundred meters away from them - a Common Buzzard that nested there must have gotten a little offended by my presence - see photos.
