Red-rumped Swallows are the least common summer visitors in major cities and towns of Greece, especially in the south. They generally avoid crowded areas being mostly fond of villages in wooded slopes. It seems, however, that they have started to populate more untypical habitats for them, in this case the coastal town of Rafina. Nests can be found in buildings and the birds are quite tame, giving me the chance to take some great photos! Special thanks to Spyros for giving me directions on how to find them.
